As of 01.04.2025, the Automobile Association of Sri Lanka has stopped accepting national driving permits for the local recognition submissions.
You are required to obtain the 1949 International Drivers Permit (IDP). This will allow us to get you a Sri Lankan Recognition permit for 06 months.
Please make sure it is not expired or going to expire during your time in a tuktuk with us!
If you are from the UK, make sure your IDP is valid at least 1 week before your trip. Please get your International Driving Permits from your home country!
